Akiles Locks
Your security and the safety of your personal belongings are our utmost concern. To avoid any incidents, we ask that you keep in mind the following security reminders below.
Download Akiles App
Prior to your arrival, we recommend that you download the Akiles app on your phone in case you do not have data coverage. With the app, you will always have access to unlock the doors.

Keyless Building Lock
Some building entrances are fitted with a keyless system to enter the building. To open the building door, follow these instructions:
First step
Open the Akiles app or click on the link found in your key instructions email.
Second step
Swipe the button referring to the building door.
Third step
Wait a few seconds until you hear the unlock sound.
Apartment Locks
Ukio apartments are equipped with four types of Akiles locks. Select the type of lock below for specific instructions on how to unlock and lock the door.
Circular Knob
The circular knob is the original lock mechanism of Akiles. It contains a numerical dial (similar to a safety box lock), which can be used to unlock the door.

Unlocking with the Akiles app
- Using the Akiles app, swipe the button referring to the apartment door.
- Wait for the light to blink green.
- Turn the knob multiple times in the direction to unlock the door until the door opens.
Locking from the inside
- Closing the door automatically locks it from the outside.
- To double bolt the door, use the lock switch found above or below the handle. Turn it in the locking direction until you hear the bolt enter.
Double locking from the outside
- Exit the door and close it. This will automatically lock the door.
- To double bolt the door, enter the app and swipe the button referring to the apartment door.
- Wait for the light to blink red.
- Turn the knob multiple time in the direction to lock the door until you hear the bolt locking sound.
Knob and Pinpad
If the apartment contains both the knob and pinpad, the apartment can be opened in two ways. To open through the knob, refer to the same instructions as the ‘Simple Knob’ type.

- In the Akiles app, click on the pin code button to see the code.
- On the pinpad, enter the code.
- Wait for the light to blink green on the knob.
- Turn the knob multiple times in the “open” direction to unlock the door until the door opens.
Locking from the inside
- Closing the door automatically locks it from the outside.
- To double bolt the door, use the lock switch found above or below the handle. Turn it in the locking direction until you hear the bolt enter.
Double locking from the outside
- Exit the door and close it.
- To double bolt the door, enter the app and swipe the button referring to the apartment door. If the apartment comes with a pinpad, you can also enter the code.
- Wait for the light to blink red.
- Turn the knob multiple time in the “close” direction to lock the door until you hear the bolt locking sound.
Pinpad on Handle
The pinpad on handle is a simple device that will easily get you into the apartment. Upon closing, this mechanism will automatically lock, preventing the door from being opened if you are on the outside.

Double bolting the door
This lock mechanism does not have a double bolting feature. Once the door is closed properly, it cannot be opened from the outside.
Please check if there is a separate additional lock which can be used to double bolt the door.
CISA lock
CISA Locks are installed as an additional security measure in apartments requiring physical keys. These locks can be opened through the Akiles app or the link in your check-in email.

- The mechanism will unlock automatically and the door will open.
Double bolting the door
This lock mechanism does not have a double bolting feature. Once the door is closed properly, it cannot be opened from the outside.
