Cleaning services for your stay
At Ukio, we aim to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Below, you’ll find helpful tips and information to keep your home fresh and tidy throughout your stay.
How does cleaning work?
In Lisbon, guests must arrange their own cleaning service, but we can recommend third-party options: OSCAR app & Mais Que Limpar. As an Ukio partner, OSCAR app offers guests a 20% discount on cleaning services. If you have access to your Guest Portal, you can also find this information there for added convenience
How do I request additional cleaning?
OSCAR app
- Download the OSCAR app and create an account.
- Select your preferred date and time for cleaning, with at least 24 hours notice.
- In the check-out process, use the code Ukio20.
- Confirm and pay.
Ukio recommends taking precautions with valuable objects even when using our trusted cleaning service.
Plants care
Plants add a special touch to each of our homes. A little care goes a long way!
Indoor plants
They are in self-watering pots with a water level indicator. Please refill weekly between the two red lines after removing the lid.
Outdoor plants
They operate with self-irrigation systems, so no need to worry about watering them.
Cactus
They need to be watered once a month.
How to manage your waste
At Ukio, we support sustainable practices and believe in the importance of recycling. This section will guide you through everything you need to know about recycling in Lisbon, from sorting your waste to finding local recycling services. Together, we can make a positive impact!
You’ll find the trash bin in the kitchen. When it’s full, simply take it downstairs or to the nearest street bin. For more tips on waste disposal in your area, check out the helpful links below or refer to your Guest Portal for additional guidance.
In Lisbon, waste is sorted into color-coded bins: yellow for recyclables (plastic, metal, and packaging), green for glass, blue for paper and cardboard, brown for organic waste, and gray for general residual waste.
Collection schedules may vary by neighborhood, so it’s helpful to check the local municipal calendar or signage near your building for pickup days. For larger items like furniture or appliances, Lisbon provides Ecopontos (recycling points) and designated collection services that can be scheduled through the city’s municipal waste department.
